Two minutes a day to raise a more thankful, happier child – a 95-page gratitude journal for ages 6–12, built on the best research on gratitude in children.
Most gratitude journals ask children to list three things a day – and they soon run out of ideas. The Dream Big Gratitude Journal gives every week a new theme and a small “gratitude in action” challenge, and teaches children the three ways of thinking that make gratitude really stick.
What’s inside
- 52 undated weekly pages: a new theme every week, a daily line with a mood check-in, a best moment and a gratitude challenge
- 12 monthly look-backs to reflect together
- Be a Thank-You Detective: spot the three clues of kindness, with two kindness logs and a circle of helpers
- Our family thank-you table: everyone shares one thank-you a day – grown-ups go first
- Even on a hard day: a gentle page for tough days, where all feelings are allowed
- Gratitude letter guide, 2 letter pages and a gratitude visit planner
- Gratitude jar with 40 slips, 60 prompt cards and thank-you notes
- Activities: gratitude A–Z, scavenger hunt, bingo and a five-senses calm-down page
- 100-leaf gratitude tree and a Gratitude Champion certificate
How it works
- Read “What is gratitude?” and “Be a Thank-You Detective” together.
- Each day, write or draw one thing you’re thankful for and circle a mood.
- Each week, try the gratitude challenge – and share thanks with notes, the jar or a letter.
- Colour a leaf on the gratitude tree each day. 100 leaves? Time for the certificate!
What you get
- Instant download: 95 pages, US and UK spelling, US Letter and A4
- Undated, so it works all year, every year
- A 2-minute guide for grown-ups inside

Questions
What ages is it for?Ages 6–12. Younger children can draw their answers or say them while a grown-up writes.
Do we have to start in January? No. The pages are undated, so you can start on any week of the year.
What if my child doesn’t feel grateful on a bad day? That’s okay – all feelings are allowed. Use the “Even on a hard day” page, and never force it. “I’m grateful for my bed” is enough.
Can I use it in my classroom?Yes, for one classroom. The prompt cards, jar slips and thank-you notes work well in class too.
Pairs perfectly with the Dream Big Kids Kit 2027 – big goals and daily habits for the whole year. See the kit
